Why oh why!
« on: August 21, 2008, 08:53:51 PM »

AARRGH!, *sigh* Popped open my new Tripwire from the comic pack and they still have that hard plastic hosing connecting his sweeper to his pack.  Couldn't they instead use a softer rubber hose completely seperate from his sweeper. I find he has a hard time holding the sweeper because of the tension running from the hose being bent awkardly, and if try and fiddle around with it, the hose pops out of his backpack. It only seems to look good both ways when his arm is almost straight out.
I've always had this problem and it annoys me. Otherwise I really like it.

Also Cobra Commander's sword's hilt and pommel is pretty sweet.

This should be an easy fix.
Soften the plastic using boiling water. Once soft ( about 15 seconds), shape it the way you want it and then let it harden as it cools.
It should work for this stuff.

This is a fantastic idea, it worked great for my 25th Flash

My main beef with Flash wasn't getting the pipe to bend, but getting that damn tube to plug into the backpack properly! >:(

I have used the hot water method many times before, mainly for loosening up painted stiff joints on figures etc.

The one figure with a hose that no amount of water could fix is Breaker with his bubble gum - it doesn't sit in front of his mouth like it should when plugged into the backpack, instead it is in front of his eyes and looks like crap.  Great idea for the figure - bad implementation.
