Well hopefully there will be a major price cut to blow these out. When I can buy another hiss tank for $9.99 then I'll buy more.  ;D

Meh,  I could use a break.  Way too much product released in the US in last two months anyways.

As for a 9.99 Hiss tank;  that sounds more reasonable than the current prices in the shelves.

Yep, I need another hiss tank to fill in a hole in my display. I'm waiting for it to hit at least $15 if not $10 to pick it up. There's just no shortage of the things right now.

Maybe I'll even trade for a vintage one. With the glut of HISSs coming out in the last 7 years the value of the classic might have bottomed out.

I really think they should up the number of vehicles in a wave but have more time between waves. Same with figures (and I mean more new figs and not repaints/variants).

So wave 2 2009 is cancelled and we have yet to receive anything other than the Hiss and Armadillo/Air Chariot in Canadian packaging. This has me worried because I really want A Sky Hawk and Water Moccassin and to a lesser extent Firebat and Shark.

Interesting, I noticed that this pre-order was taken off one of the Sponsor's Sites.  Now I know why. :'(

Golden Age Toys has added this pre-order to the web site again.   ???

It would appear that Hasbro has revived these in some form.

Hasbro has just announced that wave 5 is alive! This series was canceled in 2008 and we have just received confirmation that it is now going to be released in 2009. This line is only available to retailers who purchase in large quantities from Asia, we have guaranteed stock on order with Hasbro so get your preorders in now.

I have no doubt that they'll eventually see a wider release in North America.  Eventually.

Curious, this is

Safety Warning: This Product is for Adult Collectors. It may contain sharp points, small parts that are choking hazards, and other elements that are not suitable for children under 16 years of age.

Maybe these didn't pass safety tests and that's why they were canned?

BBTS has been putting this on a lot of their toys lately. Maybe in answer to some new law or something in the US. Either way, it's just a protect your butt thing for them to not get sued for some reason.

Anyone know if these will hit canadian online retailers?

Looks to me like they'll end up as on line exclusives, though we haven't seen any more of the elusive toy line up here since Wave 1 anyway.  :(
