OUCH!  That sucks for you. :'(  Great for the person who won...  :shifty:

HOW does that suck?

I'd be fine if each of my chromed items sold at $122.00. Including the Skystriker when it sold.

He's more than made his money back on the Snake, trust me. ;)

True, but if each individual piece is $25 to chrome, the Sky Sweeper/Firebat is at least $100 to chrome so there is a chance of a loss on this auction.  Which, while offset by the SNAKE auction, is still a bit of a downer.

I could have not said it any better myself... +1

NO. Each ITEM is roughly $25.00 to chrome when figured all out. Not each part.

So, the SNAKE cost $25, the Skystriker cost $25, this cost $25.00, etc etc etc.

Morg, told us in a previous post it was $25/part.  That is where we got that info from.

Yeah it was my impression as well.  At $25 per vehicle it is definitely worth doing.

It's a bit muddy here. I'm use to calling laptops, computers, printer "units" when working on them as I repair so many. Example "One site to look at poor print quality. Replaced units fuser. Tested on / off line. Looks fine." is a usual service report from me.

So Mike is correct. The Sky Sweeper is one part (or unit). The windshield was removed but the entire plane what chromed in one sitting.

Mike's jet on the other hand was broken down to individual pieces due to the size of it, so that was something like 3 or 4 different units.

Small or medium size jobs like the Chrome Firebat V2 was one piece so my cost to produce this was just over $40.00 (not counting paint, dye, time or stickers).

I was hoping to break $200 on this one but grouped together with the SNAKE I'm happy.

I think I'm going to sit on the last couple of pieces for now. With the MC con in a month I feel most Joe collectors will be saving for that event now.

Now that Facts have been cleared now... Time for CHROME-ageddon!

I have 7 RoC SNAKES that I would love to chrome, maybe not all of them at least one.

The problem is finding someone to do it. The factory Mike and I use we can't going knocking on the door whenever we like. Aside from the convention stuff like the HATE and the Hailstorm there has only been one other time we placed an order and that was because Mike and I wanted to see what certain things would look like if they were done. It's difficult to arrange and expensive.

So these were all prototypes of what could've been? Prior to the H.A.T.E. or after the H.A.T.E. ?
