Cobra Stike Team - Urban Division in hand....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
« on: August 02, 2004, 08:29:05 PM »

First off I would like to say thanks to my fellow Joe collectors...well just one...the guy who pick this cool 6 pack up for me today!!! You know who you are....thanks!!!!!!!!

Now my review for those of you who care...lol...!!!

This set is cool...I will not be army building it as I did the last three (Bats, PP, Cobra Soldiers) Cobra six packs but I would say it is the best of the Cobra six packs!!

Strom Shadow: do we need another Storm Shadow...no...but this one is alright...the dark colors look great for a Ninja!!! No new accessories for him...wish they had of used the V1 accessories....!

Firefly: best since the original...maybe better...really nice cammo V1 accessories all good here?well better?they painted the eye slot across the nose?so he has exposed eyes only?!!!

Scrap Iron: really cool?the best figure in the lot?similar paint job to the original but a more detailed helmet makes him look ever better than V1. For some reason they gave him grey hair (same color as the helm) makes him look a little old?but I guess he is?lol?20 years older than his last release?.!!!

Night Creeper: Cool cammo?cool V1 backpack?uses Snake-Eyes V3 sword which is a neat sword but it has been issued to every other ninja around?why can these Hasbro guys not get a different sword for each ninja????...anyways he looks good?I like V1 and 2 better but he is worthy of the clan for sure?!!!

Cobra Nullifier: as apposed to Destro?s Iron Grenadiers Nullifier????...anyways he is good?nice blue?.no emblem?and kind of plain?boring accessories?really just a filler????...!!!!

Cobra Alley Viper: bottom of the barrel as far as Allies go?looks like Batman with no cape?same Crimson Guard gun?.same V2 shield (which is alright) same JvC backpack?so no biggy here?but alright as far as the pack goes!

Overall I would say a  4 out of 5 on this pack. Some great original characters remade who look really good. The army builders are no big deal?which is good?I will not army build them?lol?!!!!!

One last thing?the file cards?the pictures of all the characters are of the V1 editions?.so red night creeper?.blue flak viper?black helm scrap iron?yellow V2 alley?and storm shadow?not sure what version he is?looks like the 2000 RAH one?anyways these must have been made before the figures as the color schemes are all off!!!

I think that'll be tough as they are US Toys R Us exclusives.

Unless Mike takes a roadtrip and grabs what he can find at retail

O...welll...I know people in the U.S...sorry to get your hopes up....I also have a U.S. address I can send to...it is a small business thats charges about 3 bucks per package that you send to them...so I have two avenues I can use...you guys out east are close enough to the U.S. to do the same and I am sure there are many businesses that would provide this service as well!!!

I am not army building this set either.  I only like the Night Creeper figure from an army building perspective.  So to pay 20 US for extra doubles is not worth it.  Plus I blew my budget this year with the Cobra Infanty set and convention items.  Don't get me wrong, I like the 6 figures but not that much to get extra packs.
