Oh and the law and order firefly set is cool and affordable. Its priced around 18$ I think

Not $18, it's $25 + tx... http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=17478486

Wrong set ;) He was referring to this one with FIREfly, not the DRAGONfly. :) And it's even more affordable at $13.

Thanks for the heads up, I was able to pick up a set at my local TRU last week. Only one case, so no troop builders left after I was done. Hopefully they put more out at some point for those that missed them.

I hope they put out troop builder sets at some point, because putting troopers in the cases at the same ratio as the characters is going to make them difficult to track down. And they're so cheep to army build too.

These things really are awesome. I just put together the little ninja set and really like them. In that short little bit, I really don't feel any difference from lego. Perhaps as I fiddle around with them a bit more I might, but first impressions are that the quality is darn good. And what a load of fun putting the sets together. I am looking forward to putting together a couple more sets. I think I might be hooked on these!

I really hope these catch on with the kids. It's a great fit for GI Joe and the play value is fantastic. As much as I love the classic 3 3/4 line and it will never, ever be replaced, you get way more bang for your buck right now with these than with the 3 3/4 line. Much more affordable to army build, plus you get playsets! Say you have $100 to spend on joe stuff. With kreo you could get a few sets and end up with 5 or 6 vehicles, a playset, and a dozen or so figures. With 3 3/4 you'd maybe get 6 figures and 2 vehicles.

As much as I'm looking forward to getting Kwinn and the Tomahawk later this year I must say these are pretty awesome.

Kreo: Putting the fun back into GI Joe toys!!

Kreo is on sale this week at TRU, 25% off. The flyer doesn't specify GI Joe kreo, so it's not immediately obvious, but it is included in the sale. Noticed all the ninja sets were gone at my local TRU, but they had at least one or two of each of the other sets. And of course no sign of the single packs. :(

I just hope the Kwinn wave makes it to Canada, and in decent numbers. Crossing my fingers...

Good to know they're coming to Canada, thanks for the news. I'll be very selective with these, but I'm looking forward to the couple I would like.

Hmm, that's a bummer. I don't make it every year, but it is too bad there won't be one this year. Let's us know we shouldn't take it for granted. Hopefully it will be back as strong as ever next year.

I've been debating putting $100 down on a vintage Tomahawk for a few years now. That new Tomahawk looks amazing. Guess I just saved $50.
Same here. I had one as a kid and it broke right after I got it. Always wanted an unbroken one! It's my favourite helicopter in the Joe line.

The most exciting news is Kwinn coming as a regular single pack figure. Cannot wait to add him to my collection. A couple of the "Ultimate" figures look great, but the "Ultimate" movie ones are not something I'm interested in. Give me an "Ultimate" Firefly based on the original design and I'd pick that up.

Overall, I expected to be excited about little to nothing with the movie line expected to dominate, but Kwinn and the Tomahawk have me excited. And Kreo looks pretty cool, but still don't know if we're even getting it in Canada.

Apparently these are now hitting the shelves Stateside. Anyone know if they're coming to Canada? They're TRU exclusive in the US, but I'm not holding my breath for a Canadian release.

These look pretty cool. I'll no doubt pick up a few here and there. The ninja set is a must. Unfortunately some of the other things I want are grouped with a bunch of stuff I have no interest in. For eg. The set with Stalker all I want is Stalker. :( And the VAMP is not bad (seems kinda small), but a mech suit? Blech! I also wouldn't mid the RAM and Fang, but not the rest of the stuff in that big set. And CC too. Anyway, I will likely get a few select figures and sets.

It's interesting the reaction from some folks. People write off kreo instantly because it's not lego. Lego is good. In fact its awsome, no doubt. But is kreo up to the same quality? Has anyone tested the durability of them compared to lego? Just curious, and i wonder if people will give it a fair chance.

General Joe Talk / Re: GI Joe Complete Series on DVD

Well it took a few months, but costco now has the complete animated series along with the complete transformers series for $46.99 each. Awsome price, so I picked up both sets.
