General Joe Talk / First 25th Casualty
« on: October 04, 2008, 10:59:25 AM »
I had my first 25th anniversary figure break today.
I found my 2nd BAT figure this morning, and after I opened him, I was posing him, and went to turn his head and the ball joint snapped off inside his head.

If this figure was easy to find I would return him, and get a replacement, but as it is the BAT figures are next to impossible to find, I am going to hang on to it, and probably glue the head back on or make a battle damaged custom.

Why couldn't this have happened to Wild Bill - he is a dime a dozen.

General Joe Talk / Other vehilces
« on: September 12, 2008, 04:15:08 PM »
I know this topic has been covered before, but I was hoping to make it a little more specific.
Now that we have the Vamp, and the HISS Tank, I am hoping Hasbro releases some of the tow behind vehicles.

I always love the Whirlwind and the ASP and I know both have been released within the last 4 or 5 years.  What I really like about the new vehicles is that they are adding new features/tooling to them.  I would love to see the Whirlwind and ASP retooled.
Are there any other tow behind vehicles that people would like to see?

MMS, HAL, Road Toad, Coastal Defender

Have I forgotten any?

Ontario / Vehicles at Zellers
« on: August 09, 2008, 06:41:17 PM »
The zellers near me had a Vamp and a Ram/Trouble Bubble pack.
I picked up the Trouble Bubble for me son, as he already has a Vamp.

$19.99 isn't bad (they are $15 in the states) I think I paid $21 at TRU in Brampton for the Vamp.

General Joe Talk / Weather Dominator & Mass device
« on: August 07, 2008, 10:52:53 PM »
I just was looking at the weather dominator that came in the dvd set, and noticed the bottom of it had what appears to be three peg holes.  It got me thinking that it would have been nice to have a chair for destro to fit in, as it is kind of small and he has to bend over to work it while standing and even then he can't aim it up in the air like in the movie.
I then looked over at the two parts for the Mass Device and noticed that it had three peg holes on top of it.
Sure enough it is a perfect fit - so until I get the rest of my Mass device it is currently the elevation I needed to rain Lighting (yes only lightning and maybe some hail) down on my joes.

General Joe Talk / G.I.Joe Season 2 Part 1 on DVD
« on: August 06, 2008, 11:10:16 AM »
I never found these in stores, and when they first came out I didn't have the extra $50 or so dollars to buy it.
I just looked online, most of the stores are sold out, however if I had $200 plus dollars there are some used copies on Amazon.ca!

I was just shocked that it was being sold for $200 used.

General Joe Talk / Hiss Driver & Hiss Commander
« on: August 05, 2008, 01:02:53 PM »
I thought the new Hiss Tank Commander that comes with the current Hiss tank was a simple repaint, however I just compared the Single Carded Hiss Driver and it appears as though the new Figure has an entirely new head sculpt - it appears to be larger and the detail has changed a little - I like the new head better as it is slightly larger and gives a better appearance of being a helmet.

General Joe Talk / New Comic Packs and DVD Sets
« on: August 04, 2008, 08:20:08 AM »
I just got back from a family road trip in the states and I picked up a bunch of stuff.
The DVD sets are amazing, Lady Jay and the Destro Figure are damn near perfect!  The baroness in Scuba gear is very well done as well!
I also stumbled across two of the three new comic packs - Destro/IG and CC/TripWire the Target was sadly sold out of the Falcon set.  Trip Wire/CC is a nice set, the IG is nice, but the destro is pretty crappy, I don't like the colours and the mold makes Destro appear short in my opinion.

General Joe Talk / Vehicle packs at SmallJoes
« on: July 03, 2008, 03:38:03 PM »
When I looked first thing this morning, they had them all in stock, but now they are sold out of all but the Steeler/Serpentor pack.

Again, I am going to hold off buying these from the states in hopes of finding them locally - I really had to resist the urge of getting out my credit card and placing an order.

I can't really tell from the fuzzy image what molds are used to make the figure - but I have to admit I like the idea for this figure.

Off Topic / Wii Mario Kart
« on: April 30, 2008, 12:55:03 PM »
I picked this up on Sunday and I have to say, I haven't had this much fun since I first played Mario Kart 64. Something about driving a go-kart with a couple of friends in the same room.
If you liked the 64 version, this is a must buy!
