Wow. Scramble's words really felt like they came out of my own lips. I think they were probably the best way of expressing recurring complaints we may at several times hold back at Hasbro. I mean sure, we believe in the franchise of Gi Joe, and the future of the toys too, and it's because of our ongoing genuine passion for the toys that we are able to forgive again and again for the mistakes that Hasbro keeps making decisions of what the toy lines should be.
But continuously forgiving can also mean shutting our own eyes, and willingly sacrificing what we hold dearest to in the Joe toys.
Actually I see that Scrambles's initiave can take form of a regular column in the newsletter so that each one of us could take turn each month to express what they truly feel as to where the toys are going and what we think in regards to the ones who are making them, I think our voice will actually help the ones who are taking the decisions on the toy designs that we are there to let them know we do care about what they're doing to the toys. ( Damn, that's a lot of "toys" in one sentence
).
For your information, I am seriously up to the challenge of writing an article like this in a monthly newsletter.
Thanks Scramble for letting this Tigerforce trooper out of his own cage!
