The new figs DO look like mini Marvel Legends.

I agree.  I saw those for the first time last night at TRU .

Here's a question for Raptor, is there a way to cover up the flesh tones on a figure when using rit dye? I think epoxy puddy might work but you would need to put a thin layer of cellophane between the epoxy and the flesh part you don't want died, and then you'd have to chip it off.

I've had some luck with that peel off "stained glass" paint from walmart, and the really cheap crappy hot glue. Loop has had luck with crazy glue. The problem is that usually the heat will peel off anything that is designed to peel off. I am going to play with medical tape/waterproof bandaids on my next dye batch, but I'm not sure that those will be able to pull it off.

I've tried wax, and that was a non starter. I've tried latex paint, but that cooks onto the figure and won't scrape off easily. I used clay (similar to epoxy putty) and it just fell off.

I haven't been playing with dye much lately, so maybe I'll do some experimentation with the next batch.

I am of mixed feelings on Scarlett. I don't know if I love it, or have a mild dislike for the proportions. I'll have to see one for real.

Looks like the first assortment is following the '83 - '84 line, so we can expect that the second assortment will be '85-'86. That makes sense to me.

I just read Scarlett:Declassified, and I'm sorta feeling that figure. I kinda like the model of her torso, it has some customizing possibilities.

That's a loop pick up line if I've ever heard one.

I hate clicking on links (and Hasbro has killed them, well freaking bad as I saved the pictures)

The fourth figure to be shown was Gung Ho.  Now the cat is really out of the bag.  Poor MC

Wow.

That trooper looks fantastic. Hell, they ALL look fantastic.

Wow. Hasbro has seriously knocked these out of the park. Bravo.

In a matter of 10 pictures, my interest in GIJOE has been totally rekindled.
