I was at Walmart about a half hour ago and wondered down the toy aisle. I took a look through the movie figures and grabbed a Pit Commando and Deep Six. They are really cool. Can't wait to set them free!

So are you saying you've NEVER bought a 3 3/4" GI Joe before?  Or just ROC figs?  In any case, Deep Six and especially Pit Commando are two of the best you could have started with.

So if those are your first 3 3/4" purchases, welcome to the club  ;D

Uh oh. I might be hooked. Picked up Snake Eyes, Ripcord, Eel, Elite Viper, Crimson Neo-viper and Flash. And, they're still $5 each. Sorry, I couldn't find any PIT Commandos.

Why the heck am I having such a hard time opening them up? I want to display them, and I'm sure as hell not expecting to get rich off these toys. I enjoy photographing other collectibles I've accumulated - action figures, army men... Damn the torpedoes, full package ripping ahead, right?

I use a razor knife to cut all the way from the bottom left of the blister all the way around, the tray will come out without killing the file card that way if you're careful.

Whoo boy yeah it is easy to drop a bunch of $$$ on those figures real quick. 

Personally, I've always been a damn the torpedoes, full package destruction ahead kind of guy.  If I had kept every toy I have in the package between my Transformers and GI Joes I would be a very, very, VERY rich man.

But I wouldn't have had NEARLY as much fun!  To this day the only way I will keep a fig in the package is if I somehow happen to get an extra (like my wonderful Mom ordering me two 25th Docs instead of one)  ;D

I am an opener by nature but I still don't want the filecard ruined with creases, which is the hardest part about opening ROC packaging. The real problem is that the filecards are an embarrassment yet I still clip and save them as if they were worth saving and keeping.

im a moc collector, and have over 90 carded figures, the only time i open, is if it is a damaged card. i just like to cards, as much as i do the figure inside the bubble.

If I had gotten on the 25th line sooner, I'd have each figure twice, but I got in too late and bought mostly Canadian versions. There's not a lot of incentive to keep Canadian carded 25ths, but at least ROC is almost identical to the USA versions. If the good figures show up for $5 at Walmart, I will have no qualms buying second copies to leave sealed.

Yeah, if I kept all my childhood toys, they'd definitely be worth something. Original G.I. Joes from the 60s, all of the original red line Hot Wheels and the killer, I had the first few Spider-man comics. All gone. Given away. Ah, but now I get to relive my childhood all over again. It's so much fun.

My budget won't allow me to collect doubles unfortunately, so, what I get I have to decide on whether to open or not. I want to open them but one of the problems is where to keep all of their gear. So much gear with each figure.

Here's a noob question for ya. Has there ever been an official Canadian G.I. Joe issued by Hasbro? I think I saw members with Canadian custom figures here.
