The title says it: the new event is now announced on its Facebook page. I believe it's a one-day show.

FYI everyone, the date of the Comic con is on May 1st, not May 8th (as posted earlier).

from 11am-5pm & General admission will be 6$ at the door. Free for children under 10.

Half of the ticket sales will go to help Japan.

If you originally remember this post, it did said May "8th". I updated the date but the "th" didn't want to leave for some reason  ;D

I knew that was why...couldn't resist though.

On a serious note, glad to see some of the door money going to a great cause! I did a couple fundraisers for Japan so far. They have the infrastructure to really put money to good use, rather than some countries that have been stuck in poverty for a long time. Good karma on those who go!  Now that my comic "need" list is single digits, shows aren't really for me anymore.

Just thought I would bump this up since the mini comic con is on Sunday.

Just so that does that never went know, you will find not only comic books but toys, statues and movie memorabilia too. Local artists will be there too so come show your support if you have a chance or want to give it a try, while doing it for a good cause on top of that.

Careful, you made a mistake.  The con is on Sunday, not Friday!  Otherwise I'd be there now and wouldn't be posting this... ;D

EDIT: The entrance fee is a fundraiser for Japanese relief efforts, there will be a raffle for a Stan Lee lithograph (he'll be a Guest of Honour at the 2-day comic con in September), and there's a costume contest, too.  (Prizes are gift certificates to be spent at the convention on Sunday.  3rd place is $50, 2nd is $100, and 1th ;D is $200.)

See you guys there!  If you see a rather low-resolution person there, tell him, "Hey Snakes, you look silly!"
