Where to buy transformers parts

I am looking for a store, flea market or something like that with a bin of transformers parts that I can dig through for custom fodder. I need to be able to measure things for fit, so the internet thing isn't really working for me.

Does anyone know of such a place?

I will ask my LCS.  They have a bin but usually only use it themselves to make up figures they get in.
