What would you never chrome?

A lot of us seem to like chrome. So my question is a simple one, what 1 item would you never chrome?

For me it's the Hiss Version 4. You know, the silly Hiss tank with the movable head and fangs.

I wouldn't chrome most things.  I find chrome's more effective/looks better in small doses, in certain key areas.  If everything's chromed out, you'll take chrome for granted and it won't be as impressive or important.  It'll just feel like a gimmick, know what I mean? :wink:

I wouldn't chrome something living. Not after the first debacle.
Or something that has recently been chromed, unless it needed a second coating.
Other than it, it's game on.

Funny!  And yeah, chrome is pretty much an improvement, love it.

You know, I kinda dig the mole pod because it has a counterpart in the marvel comics.  The joes had one as an escape vehicle when the pit was demolished (cc and destro used it to escape).  And wasn't there something like that in the cartoons as well?

Truthfully, I wish I never had any of the items I got chromed done.
I only got my items done because Morg wanted a bunch of items done and the guy that does it is a tad paranoid.

I have two things left that I got chromed. I'll be ebaying them at some point before the Convention... one is the mini-jet from the Night Raven. I always thought the Sky Patrol version of the Night Raven should of had one, and I'll tell you - it looks awesome.

The other item I have left is a 1983 Dragon Fly - which in my opinion looks amazing done in chrome!

I'll post pics at some point.

Speaking of which.... I kept meaning to go back in one of those other chrome threads and post this, but I got busy, obviously. ;)

I know a bunch of you guys would of loved to get stuff done via me as well. And I thought about it, I honestly did. But I have zero plans on getting anything else done, and that would of been a nightmare to have everyone send me their stuff, get it chromed, then collect money and ship things back? No thanks, I have a convention to prepare for - that was the sole reason for me not wanting to. (Sorry to those of you that asked me, I wasn't trying to be a "dick" with any of you. I just know how long this stuff was going to take - AND the fact that I have to go to Toronto to drop off and pick them up. I wish I could of gotten all of you a chromed Skystriker, or SNAKE, or hell, even a Mole Pod for Bandanov's strange love of the thing! ;)

Anyway, The HATE tank (to me) used to be special because I came up with the idea of chroming it, and it was unique. But now, I don't know..... I still love the HATE, but the rest seem like overkill - and I'm not just talking about the stuff Morg and I got done. I'm talking about the other toys I've seen people do, like a TwinPod Cloud Car from Star Wars, a Batmobile, the A-Team van, and those Storm Shadow figures. Where does it end?

So, I guess, in short my answer is, I wouldn't get anything else done, and most likely won't again. So you can pretty much scratch anything "chromed" off the list for future CJC sets. ;)

Well, Mike, I completely understand not wanting to get a stereotype going, as in "what's those guys in Canada going to chrome this year?"  But, you know, a chrome firebat, or snake, or mms, or (ok gotta stop), would have been so extremely cool.  And would have completely made sense in the storyline you've got going, if they were able to vamp the skypatrol technology for the hiss, it only follows they would apply it to other vehicles.  

But, of course, this is your ball game, and I'm sure there are lots of considerations you have to make that I don't know anything about.  Just love the chrome!  You know, the hate tank is one of the coolest gi joe items ever.
