I don't get the ski mask and t-shirt look   Is he hot?  Is he cold?  I guess he does not know!

Although thrilled with getting an official Joe Canuck figure, I wasn't jazzed about the t-shirt/mask combination at first either. However, (ironically) knowing who the base figure is, I've definitely "warmed up" to him in the meantime. And based on THE Mike's post above, I am crossing my fingers that the missing piece is some sort of jacket.

BTW, not that it matters, does the Joe Canuck figure have the same skin tone as Ripcord? It is a little hard to tell from the pic. The only reason I mention it is that for me Joe Canuck has kinda been like the Canadian version of the Steel Brigade trooper in that he could look however you imagine him under the mask. I don't recall his skin tone ever being revealed/shown in the comics.

Regarding the other Canucklehead, if it is Snowbank, it would make sense based on THE Mike's comments about the expense for parts. I could then also set aside my WIP Snowbank custom figure finally.

I'm confused, I thought Mike indicated the cost of head sculpts was way up, but I have not seen any new ones......maybe that was a red herring, like the Chroming one.

Costs OVERALL are way up this year. WAY up.

That sounds somewhat ominous. I hope that you aren't losing money on these sets, despite the price increase.

No, but there is a part of this figure that's missing... I'll include that with the "Full Set" pictures next week.

Perhaps an alternate head with a toque?

The item JoeCanuck is missing is the logo on his shirt.
I don't think it's shown in the comic, but it is shown on the filecard art.
 
I appreciate the fact that you guys think we're willing to paint 125 sets of eyeballs - but I guarantee you - that'll never be the case!

Dude, I was excited about painting them last year. Then I saw the light. Captain Ruin almost had eyes but instead I modified the head to include the glasses to avoid 250 individual eyes. Heck, painting eyebrows on Valkyrie got to be a challenge because after a while things start to slip, the paint starts to bunch up and your brush tip gets clumps.

Mike was right on that call to not do the eyes. I can paint one off's for the odd custom, but doing bulk would be maddening.
