Funny how we have different point of view.

The Artic HISS is fun, but I will wait for a Blue or Crimson version

Hit & Run is the only one I preordered. His bag is unique and I love is green camo.

Lifeline is like Leatherneck and Dial-Tone for me. I will wait for their retro version on card.

Army building is fun, but our hobby is more and more expensive.  And now a deluxe army builder Royal guard! Not for me. Super7 made him in Reaction+, that's good for me.

Not sure if Crazylegs and Zap will be retro or not?

For now on, I will be more selective on Classified and will get the Retro line over the regular most of the time (of Artwork is not IA)

If you are waiting on the Retro version of figures you could be waiting a long time.   They are only doing 9 Retro figures a year and so far the only character that has been released in Retro first is the Green Shirt.   Otherwise every other character that has had a Retro release had a regular Classified release first.   Some were clearly not classic ARAH looks so a Retro release made sense, while others were only slightly different from the Classified release.

Since they are at number 170(ish) in the regular line, there are dozens upon dozens of character who could be far ahead of recent releases for a Retro release.  Not too mention who may or may not be popular enough to get another release on a Retro card.

I could see Zap getting released on a Retro card first, much like I think all the OG13 should be on Retro cards.   However Crazylegs is probably just going to be a regular release.

A little late but some interesting reveals at NYCC.

Definitely the most interesting was the Arctic Assault HISS.   A nice redeco of the Haslab and it looks like outside of the accessory changes (and driver) there is nothing really different except for the lack of electronics.   It will be interesting to see what the price is because they recently upped the price on pretty much everything on Pulse (including existing stock).

The retail wave is nearly perfect for me.   The highlights are Big Lob, Lifeline and Night Viper.   All characters I am eager to get in Classified.   Hit & Run is also great but he was never a big favourite of mine.   The V2 Mole Rat is a neat idea, but I am not a fan of the colours and really the exploding Dark Energon head is the only real attraction for me.

The name only reveals were nice, but nothing too exciting.   Zap and Crazylegs are good to see.  One for another OG13 character and the other because it finally gets us the right colour scheme for the character (now where is Ripcord).  The female Crimson Guard was cool but I don't know that I'll pick her up except on sale.

Probably my favourite reveal was the deluxe Cobra-La Royal Guard.   I love when Lenny can go off and really give us an updated take on some of the wackier characters in Joe.   This looks fantastic and I'll probably get at least two.

Finally that tease at the end appears to be some kind of collar for a "pet" companion for some upcoming figure.  It will be interesting to see who/what.

SNAKE armour arrived yesterday.  I am impressed, details are excellent and the size is more than impressive.  Just wish the detachable hands and claws had articulation.

A vehicle would be nice... but something more manageable than a giant snake spaceship (cool though, but expensive and spacing consuming). A BET? Another Mass device? A cardboard gi joe pit? I can take anything at this point. Oring joes is just great to have and nostalgia is a powerful thing. Reaction made me appreciate my old joe collection again. ;)

Nice article on Mike T forgotten figure:

Finally have Dial-Tone!  Also was able to acquire Hawk with MMS, and the Slaughter, Mercer two pack.  So far I have only opened Diat-Tone.

They all look good, except for Snake Eyes.   Just like Arctic CC the legs look ridiculous with the attempt to mimic the bottom of the coat.   Pythona and Big Lob look good, but I think Destro is the best of the lot.

Shame about the price increase since the line started out at the $20US (approx.) price.   $25US (over $30Cdn) is an automatic pass.   Can't see this line lasting too long at that price when I think you get a better value from other lines at the 6" scale.

I would like to see Super7 tackle another vehicle if possible.  Preferably something never done before, or something that could use an updated release.   Nothing stupid expensive though like their attempt at the Cobra flying fortress.

I don't get the appeal of Big Lob at all. Does he get fan service just because he didn't have a figure back in the day?
Aesthetics - he's boring, personality - none.
I know its cartoon movie based but still. EASY pass.
Curious that his jersey is number 14 (same as Bazooka) there must be a connection that I'm not aware of. Anyone?

Pythona - I'd be curious on how the hair looks at the back. Can she be seated in vehicles ? I'd buy this though.

Snake Eyes - I get what they were trying to do with Arctic Snake Eyes coat, but he' looks like he's wearing shorts. Pass

Destro - looks pretty good.  His head looks like a chromed Charles Xavier or Lex Luthor. ? Best of the bunch in my opinion.
